See Location on Map Learn More About LocationThe Sales Management Support Specialist provides support to the Canadian western market (Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Vancouver and Winnipeg) with sales and marketing activities. Works closely with regional and market leadership teams to develop and execute marketing plans. The incumbent will support several lines of business and leadership in the development of RFP submissions and presentations that are on target, polished and professional, and make a strong contribution to winning business. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a broad scope of responsibilities, working with ad-hoc teams of internal stakeholders.
To fulfill this role, the Sales Management Support Specialist will:
- Work in a consulting capacity with market leadership to develop, secure approval to, and implement annual marketing plans that support the market business and sales priorities and are aligned with regional and line of business strategies
- Act as the essential element to the development of new business proposals and presentations by working directly with the business to complete the entire proposal from start to finish (writing, reviewing, editing, managing deadlines, coordinating responses, overseeing overall workflow, etc.)
- Plan, project manage, write, edit, and deliver RFPs and questionnaires from prospective clients and consultants
- Lead ad-hoc teams of consultants, business leaders, and internal resources deliver responses on time and accurately
- Write sparkling sales copy. Review and edit non-technical answers to create compelling sales documents.
- Working with consultants and other Mercer marketing professionals to develop and enhance RFP language and ensure it is centrally stored
- Managing deadlines, coordinating responses, overseeing overall workflow
- Streamline the RFP process for better discipline and delivery
- Work closely with market and line of business leadership to lead the management of all facets of Mercer?s marketing activities (i.e., seminars, client town halls, client communications, etc.) within market.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives within market by conducting surveys and soliciting client feedback
- Supports leadership with market research, client research, M-drive
- Supports western market leader with various administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication or related field
- Four to five years experience in a sales/marketing environment, HR or professional services firm experience an asset;
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Strong writing, editing and research skills; attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines
- Strong project management skills
- Strong oral communication and client relationship skills
- Sales orientation to support critical link with client-facing and sales professionals
- Operates well in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment is essential
